Can I fish from the riverbank at Krog’s Kamp?
Absolutely. Guests enjoy exclusive access to our private riverfront — perfect for early morning or evening fishing sessions right from “kamp.”

Are flyout trips available?
Yes. We offer flyout trips across Cook Inlet for red and silver salmon as well as remote lake trout fishing (e.g., Crescent Lake) with bear viewing opportunities.

Your trip includes:

Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. All guests must have a valid Alaska fishing license. King salmon stamps are required for king salmon fishing. You can purchase these online or locally.

When is the best time to visit for each type of fish?
• Sockeye Salmon: Early June and mid-July
• Silver Salmon: Late July through fall
• Rainbow Trout: Opens June 11
• Halibut: Available throughout the summer
• King Salmon: Currently limited to saltwater fishing south of Bluff Point

Lodge Amenities & Policies
Do the cabins and chalets have kitchens?
Most of our accommodations include fully equipped kitchens. Even our bungalows have a kitchenette with essentials like a refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, and coffee maker.

Is there Wi-Fi at the lodge?
While we aim to offer a nature-first experience, limited Wi-Fi is available at the lodge.

Are meals included?
Breakfast and lunch may be included depending on the package, but evening meals are not provided. Each unit has a kitchen or grill for preparing your own food.

Is Krog’s Kamp smoke-free?
Yes. All indoor accommodations are non-smoking. We also ask that guests bring indoor slippers for use inside cabins and chalets.
